Founder, Harospec Data · South Lake Tahoe, CA

I help organizations turn complex data into clear, actionable decisions. As the founder of Harospec Data, I work with clients in many different fields of work — delivering production-ready analytics that bridge the gap between technical teams and the decision-makers who rely on their outputs.

I think of myself as a jack-of-all-trades data scientist, able to take on most tasks related to data, computer programming, and IT. That means whether a project calls for a one-off analysis, a long-term dashboard, a custom web application, a scraping or ETL pipeline, database design, or general technical troubleshooting, I can step in and get it done without the overhead of pulling in a larger team.

Over the past decade I've led modeling programs, built geospatial dashboards used by multiple government agencies, and designed automated data pipelines that replaced hours of manual reporting. My work spans data engineering, statistical modeling, geospatial analysis, and interactive visualization using R, Python, SQL, and modern GIS frameworks. I'm increasingly integrating AI and LLM tools into real data science workflows — from ETL documentation to exploratory analysis.

Before going independent, I served as Lead Data Modeler/Analyst at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, a Modeling & Analytics Consultant at RSG, and an Assistant Planner at the Puget Sound Regional Council. I hold a Master's in Urban Planning from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University.
